  • Crassula capitella Red Pagoda is a branching perennial succulent. At first it looks like pink tinged rosettes and then later the leaves becomes pagoda shaped and turn red.
  • It flowers at the ends of the up to 10 inch (25 cm) long pagoda chains. The tiny white flowers are up to 0.25 inch (6 mm) in diameter.
  • Crassula are easy to grow, but they are susceptible to mealy bugs and fungal diseases. As with all succulents, overwatering is sure to be fatal, so err on the side of too dry rather than too wet. Never let your Crassula sit in water. If you water from beneath by letting the plant sit in a saucer of water, make sure to pour off any excess water after a few minutes.

Crassula Red Pagoda, also known as Crassula Shark Tooth, is a fascinating succulent with pointed triangular leaves that are densely packed like origami. With maximum sun exposure, the foliage can turn from dark green to striking light yellow with red tips. Edgy and unique, this succulent is a great addition to any planter or rock garden. It can be grown as a small-scale groundcover, or on hanging basket due to its branching habit. In summer, it produces small starry white flowers. Some specimens are redder than others. The more sun you give it, the redder it gets. ‘Red Pagoda’s’ color is brightest in winter in response to short, cool nights and bright sunlight. ⚠️ All of the plants will be shipped bare root.
